Amanda Caperton PT, DPT graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2003 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She began her education at Texas Tech and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences in 1997. She has participated in numerous continuing education courses and has certifications that include Masters/Teacher training in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), Universal Exercise Unit Interventions (UEU), TheraSuit Treatment Techniques, Kinesio Taping, Dry Needling, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. Over the past 20 years, Amanda remains passionate and committed to serve the pediatric population in helping them achieve their highest level of functional potential and overcome obstacles in their journey. Amanda specializes in treating diagnoses such as, but not limited to, Neurological disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Orthopedics, Developmental Delay, Torticollis, Plagiocephaly, Coordination Disorder, Chromosomal Disorders, and Traumatic Brain Injury. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family and friends, learning to play golf with her kids, and DIY projects around the home.
Halie McClaran PT, DPT is Doctor of Physical Therapy who has worked as a pediatric physical therapist in the outpatient setting. She began her education at Oklahoma State University, where she was a cheerleader for four years. In May of 2017, she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor's degree in Health Education and Promotion with specialty in Exercise Science. After graduation, she continued her education at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in May of 2020. Halie is introductory level A certified in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI). She specializes in treating diagnoses such as: torticollis, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, orthopedic diagnoses, toe-walking, developmental delay, etc. Halie is DMI level A certified. In November 2021, Halie and her husband Matt had their son Lane, who was born with Down syndrome. Since, she has enjoyed participating in various Down syndrome organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family outside or at the lake.
Mindy McCoy MOT, OTR/L graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 with her Master’s degree in
Occupational Therapy. Prior to receiving her Master’s, she earned two Bachelor’s degrees in both Organismic
Biology and Chemistry from Northeastern State University and worked as a Biology instructor at Tulsa Community College for several years. Mindy has worked in pediatrics since graduation and has a true love for children. She has earned certifications in Universal Exercise Unit (UEU) and TheraSuit Treatment Techniques and has taken numerous continuing education courses in Low Vision, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, Floortime
Technique, Neurological Disorders, and Negative Bahaviors. Mindy has a husband, two children, and two
calico cats (Penny and Confetti). In her spare time, you will most likely find her vacationing on a tropical
beach, SCUBA diving, playing golf, or thrifting.
Cary Curtis, MS, CCC-SLP graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1994 with her Bachelor of Science degree in speech language pathology and then completed her education also at the University of Tulsa earning a Master of Science degree in speech language pathology in 1996. Throughout her career, Cary has worked with adults and children of all ages with communication and feeding and swallowing disorders. She has worked in rehab centers, pediatric hospital and pediatric private clinic settings. Cary is able to effectively evaluate and treat pediatric patients demonstrating with a variety of communication disorders including speech articulation delays and phonological processes disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency and voice disorders. Cary has specialized in treating swallowing disorders and has pursued continuing education certifications assisting her in treating these. In addition, Cary is a certified VitalStim provider treating pharyngeal phase dysphagia with a specialization in pediatrics. Through the utilization of this treatment technique, Cary has helped many infants, toddlers and children to overcome potentially life threatening swallowing disorders allowing them to safely consume more complex diets and typically thinner liquids.
Cary has been married to her husband Steve for 25 years and the two have 3 children, Gabe, Olivia and Sydney. When she’s not working with children, Cary can be found reading, fly fishing with her husband, vacationing in the mountains or on the beach or otherwise spending time with her family.
Kristi Layton, PTA graduated from Tulsa Community College Physical Therapist’s Assistant program in 2016. She has participated in multiple continuing education courses. She is certified Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Introductory Levels A, B & C, Myofascial Release Level 1 and Pediatric Myofascial Release, certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP), certified Theratog Fitter Level 1 & 2, aquatic Therapy Certified for the pediatric client through Texas Children's Hospital, has advanced training for orthotic management. Specialized in idiopathic toe walking and gait abnormalities and advanced Torticollis Treatment. Kristi is married to her 8th grade sweetheart and welcomed their first baby girl in December 2023. In her free time she enjoys spending time at the lake and floating the river with family and friends.
