Aquatic therapy is performed by our Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants, who have specialized training in aquatic therapy safety and techniques. Aquatic therapy is a specialized treatment method that uses the natural properties of water - buoyancy, resistance, hydrostatic pressure - to help children improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and overall function.
In a warm aquatic environment, with a sloped zero entry, children with a variety of diagnoses or conditions , such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, developmental delays, genetic differences, or orthopedic challenges, can safely build confidence and achieve therapeutic goals through fun, engaging activities in the water that are tailored to their needs and plan of care.
Our aquatic therapy sessions are held in a sloped, zero-entry pool that has engaging water play features. The pool also has a warmer therapy pool area with a current channel for additional therapeutic aquatic activities.
If you are interested in aquatic therapy for your child, please call our office to discuss the next steps toward getting your child into the pool!
